The founder and leader of The Bloom Group is Peter Bloom. Mr. Bloom manages all operations of The Bloom Group and supervises a group of consultants and other professionals in the delivery of services to the firm’s clients.
Mr. Bloom is an experienced business lawyer, and acts as general counsel to emerging and mid-stage companies, providing strategic advice as well as guidance regarding corporate law, contracts, tax, intellectual property protection, financing, and labor & employment law. Mr. Bloom also serves as a member and key advisor to the Board of Directors of many companies, advising them on corporate, finance, and fiduciary issues.
Mr. Bloom is also a highly skilled transactional lawyer, having handled mergers and acquisitions, stock and asset purchases, technology transfers, recapitalizations and other corporate reorganizations, venture capital investments, as well as other financial and strategic transactions.
Mr. Bloom also advises clients in succession planning, particularly focusing on the financial, operational, legal and interpersonal issues implicated in any succession. Mr. Bloom has designed and implemented succession plans for many closely-held entities, some of which are family businesses.
In addition, Mr. Bloom provides mediation services to small business owners and executives, regarding the conflicts that arise in those businesses relating to ownership, performance, compensation and governance matters.
Mr. Bloom is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University, and has law degrees from Georgetown University and the University of Connecticut School of Law.
